Can A Ghost Follow Me Home From An Investigation?

Written by admin on . Posted in Education

Joy Naylor asked:

We can never make a blanket statement about the activities of spirits. They are all individuals. We seldom worry about whether or not the people we meet will follow us home.  The same conditions can usually be applied to ghosts.

Ghosts have to be approached one by one. They are all different and as such most ghosts have a reason to be wherever they happen to be. Sometimes it is unfinished business from when they were alive. Sometimes they haunt a given area because of a traumatic event or a sudden un-expected death. Some are afraid to move on and stay at the location they feel most comfortable in. In a nutshell, they all have a different reason to be where we run across them.

So taking each haunting one by one and evaluating it carefully before doing an investigation can often answer the question before hand as to whether or not a spirit will follow us anywhere. Each site is different as each ghost is different, so follow some common sense and plan each investigation before starting. After all, there are no “givens” in paranormal investigating.

So generally speaking it is doubtful a ghost will follow you home. As I mentioned before they are all different. Some have different abilities then others and can go wherever they choose. Some are stuck at the location they haunt and couldn’t follow you if they wanted. But most are at the location they haunt for a reason, and we the living are not it. Follow some basic common sense, and all will be well.

Keep Your House Clean And Healthy

Have you often see pests in your house? Have you always troubled by them? You may notice that home pests are really annoying. They create an unhealthy living environment and this can result in people getting allergies and even succumbing to some of the diseases they carry. Take rats for example. They are one type of pest that we strive to get rid, not only are they unhealthy creatures, but they nibble at everything and damaged food sources.

Even when you think that your house is clean enough, pests also breed in some nooks. They have great vitality and eradication of pests seems impossible. With the weather or environment changes or some other reasons, they can suddenly crop up somewhere.

Some people choose to use pesticides as a way of pest control. But before using that, do read the labels carefully, they are chemicals so they have some side effects. Some may do harm to your furniture or even to your pets or family members.

When To Hire A Professional For Hurricane Cleanup

When do you hire a professional to clean up the mess in your yard after a hurricane and when do you do it yourself? As a homeowner, the only jobs you should tackle are ones that you can do from the ground. In all other scenarios you should hire someone who knows what they’re doing.

Hire a tree care professional for taking down trees in open areas and removing dead or dangerous limbs. Before you hire a tree care professional, make sure they have the right equipment and enough insurance to work in such conditions.

Hire a certified arborist if you need to remove a leaning tree or broken limbs very close to a house or other objects. These professionals are also trained to remove reaching limbs that you have to climb to access, to restore damaged trees that can be saved, and for pruning. Certified arborists have advanced training – make sure you hire someone who is ISA certified.

Certified arborists are specially certified to deal with electrical hazards. Because tree roots often disturb underground utilities and pull down power lines during a hurricane, specialists are the only ones trained to handle this type of job. Electrical wiring and flooding creates a dangerous combination that can be only handled by professionals. Only qualified line clearance arborists are allowed to work with electrical utilities.

If you need to call someone to remove a tree from a power line, call the power company and report any tree limbs that need to be removed. Always treat power lines as energized and never touch them. Electrocution is a real danger you have to watch out for, so leave it to the professionals.

Hiring an arborist is recommended in most cases, and worth the money if you want to save as many trees on your property as you can, and sustain the value of your property. Well-maintained trees are a great asset, but if they are not properly maintained or become diseased they can actually become a liability.

It’s important to realize, however, that not all arborists are created equal. Scammers often try to take advantage of people in vulnerable situations and may attempt to get hired even though they’re not qualified to do the job. They want to make a quick buck and “help” homeowners clean up after a storm. If you do some research ahead of time and find a qualified arborist before you run into problems, you’ll save yourself a lot of time, trouble, and money.

When interviewing an arborist, make sure you ask some important questions. Ask if they are properly insured for property damage, personal liability, and worker’s compensation. It’s not a good idea to hire an uninsured company because if something goes wrong, you will have to cover medical bills and/or lost wages for any injured workers.

Also, make sure they are certified by the International Society of Aboriculture. You can only become certified under the ISA if you have professional experience and up-to-date knowledge. Arborists in this association have to attend training courses and continue their education to keep up with the latest trends.

How does one become a pest control operator, or “exterminator”?

I live in Florida. Is it as simple as getting a job with an experienced operator and learning the trade, or do I need to get licensed?
How do I go about doing this?

you can do it 2 ways. in both cases, you will need to get a licence to do it. every state requres a licence, and every state has a different requrement for it. im located in CA , and there are different licences for everything.much like drivers licences. i’ve been told for example, in oregon, there is only one class licence. generaly the pest board ,which will issue any guidelines to the pest companies, is governed by the agricultural department. do a simple web search, on either one, and you will get a lot more curent info. a web site which is almost a “must read” is : pest-web.com.
1st way is to get licenced yourself, and then look for a job, as a lot of companies will hire only licenced folks. those tend to be the smaller companies normaly.
you can get a licence,by going to the local county office, and checking to see where, when, and how much it will cost you to do it. here , in CA ,to get the most simple licence, doesnt cost much. costed my company about $15-20 (as of 2004). if you fail the exam, you are allowed to take it again. again,in similar fashion like an ordinary drivers licence.
have in mind, that there is a requarement, that,in order to get a licence, when you pass the exam, you will need to get a “live scan”. at least thats how its in CA. live scan is,basicaly fingerprinting you digitaly, and geting some basic info, like full name, ect.
2nd way to get a licence is, the way i did. a lot of companies will train and teach you ,untill you are ready to get the exam. have in mind, that in CA , to get the licence, you will need to have certain # of hours experience. i would asume, that this is valid in most other states too. you gain the experience, by working for the company, and generaly they will buddy you up,with an experienced tech. who will work with you in the field.
so, in short ,you can get the licence yourself,or find a company who is willing to help you do it.
few thoughts in general….
every state has its own laws regarding operators, licences, and chemicals. make sure that you arent planning to move any time soon, otherwise you would have to start all over again.many chemicals arent allowed in every state, so , what you will be learning, will pertain to the state you will be licenced in.
i already mentioned pest-web.com. you can find pest companies’s web sites , like orkin’s ,terminex, ect. a lot of time, they would have some usefull info,as well as job oppenings, and requarements for them. even if you arent sure, book an interview. you loose nothing by going to it,and you will find out for sure whats what.
whether you start geting experience, either with a company, or by yourself, i would sujest ,safety first ! dont forget, you will be woprking with chemicals. some are as strong as windex, but others are 10,20 or more times stronger.it may take some time to get used to working with gloves, and or a respirator .those 2 are standart work gear for any pest tech. most companies will want you to work in full uniform, which also includes long sleeve shirt. you mentioned you live in florida. make sure you can work wearing full size pants, long sleeve shirt ,a respirator, gloves, and most likely booths,at the same time, while working in the daylight, while its hot (and humid in your case).while that may seem hard to bare at first, it takes a short time to get used to it.
no mather what you do, always follow pest guidelines, set by your state. if you do not,and you get cought, worst case scenario is, that will be doing jail time. pesticides fall under restricted products generaly, and every state is strict and specific about it.
i laready mentioned safety first.make sure your gear (respirator, ect) is always functioning properly. after all , you work with chemicals, and improper use , may cause to get sick. i’ve never personaly heard of anyone geting seriously ill , but its a posibility. much like , if you arent driving safely :) .
such job isnt for everyone. make sure you are comfortable with removing dead rats, birds, ect, from people’s atticks or basements. also, forget what you know, or think you know, from friends, media, ect. more then 9 out of 10 cases, the info you will get from “conventional” resourse will be untrue. for example, using the so called electronic pest “repelant” devices you see advertized on tv.any ppro will die laughing if you mention one. if you arent at least a little bit of a “people’s person” you may have hard time, since you will be interacting non stop with cutomers, and each one of them have their own needs, wants, and ideas about it.
thats about it. make sure you visit pest-web . com.know that if you want o be licenced, you will have to submit extensive info ,not just presenting your ID to a future employer. most likely , you will be requared to undergo physical and drug tests on reg basis.
