CAN I SUE A STORE THAT SOLD ME PANTRY MOTHS IN MY RICE?

I BOUGHT A 20LB BAG OF RICE FROM A LOCAL STORE IN NJ. THE RICE HAD PANTRY MOTHS. I HAD TO THROW OUT ALL MY FOOD HIRE A PEST CONTROL PROFESSIONAL WHO WILL BE COMING TO MY HOME ON FRIDAY. I LIVE IN A VERY NICE CONDO.SO IT’S S000 EMBRASSING.SO MY QUESTION IS WHO IS HELD RESPON SIBLE WHEN I HAD TO THROW OUT 250 WORTH OF GROCERIES. I HAVE 4 KIDS SO IT’S HARD SEEING THEM TERRFIED OF THE FLYING MOTHS.

not sure what you’re gonna sue them for? damages? i guess if you could prove that the rice contained the moths and that nothing else you’ve bought could have caused the infestation. i think the only way you could do this is to find someone else who also bought the same rice and got the same problem.

it’s not fair, but it’s a risk that everyone takes when they buy food from questionable stores.
