What can I do about my slumlord? 10 pts?

I have lived with mice for 6 months, just woke up to find a mouse stuck to a sticky pad hubby put out. I have 3 young children and expecting my 4th in may. She brought an exterminator but it didnt work. I need help we cant afford to move or we would. We live in las vegas nv please im desperate. Oh and what do I do with the mouse on the sticky pad im scared of getting bit hubby doesnt get off work till 2:30 please help

Drop the mouse, glue trap, and all in a bucket of water. It will be over in seconds. Throw everything in the trash when you are done. Keep trapping and putting them down. Its the only way to ensure they are gone. Do not use de-con type poisons, because when they die they go somewhere you cant reach, then rot inside your walls making your house smell like a horse-rendering factory.

Keep your house clean and not cluttered. Vacuum daily. Do all dishes daily. Keep all food products in plastic containers– cereal, flour, everything. If you have a pet you are going to have to ration its food, like put it out for an hour or two at a time then put it away.

If you do all this you will eventually get rid of the mice. The most important thing is to keep trapping and putting them down.
