Different Types Of Spiders And Information On Removal

Spider infestations are one of the most commonly complained about pest control problems in the United States. There are actually two separate kinds of spiders that can invade your home. The first of these types are web building spiders. Naturally, web builders are spiders that prefer to build webs to catch food. They usually build their webs in the corner of rooms or in areas that are rarely used like garages and tool sheds. A very common place to see spider webs is also the overhand of roofs on houses and in trees and bushes.

In addition to web building spiders there are also hunting spiders. These are spiders that leave the protection of their home to find and kill their own prey. Examples of hunting spiders are wolf spiders, brown recluse spiders and jumping spiders. These spiders spend most of their time hunting others of their kind, crickets, moths, flies, and cockroaches.

Hunting spiders don’t usually travel very far from the place that they live, whether it be in a burrow, under the couch, under the refrigerator or in the garage. It is not uncommon for these species to find ways in between the walls of your home and spend most of their time there.

The Black Widow venom is extremely poisonous (some claim more poisonous then a cobra or coral snake) but since the spider is so small compared to larger reptiles the bites are rarely deadly.

In this country, the most dangerous and feared spider that we have is the Black Widow. Each area of the country has their own special species of widows but they all basically look the same and are easily identifiable. The poison of a widow is almost equal to a coral snake (very, very deadly) but due to the small amount that most spiders are able to inject they are not nearly as deadly as a coral snake.

In spite of the small amount of venom that the Widow is able to inject, if you are bit by one it is very important that you go to the hospital right away to be administered the anti venom. Some records seem to show that prior to the creation of Black Widow anti venom, that almost 5% of all bits resulted in killing the recipient.

The Brown Recluse is the most poisonous hunting spider in the United States. While their bites are seldom, if ever, deadly, they do tend to kill the skin around the bite area. In addition to killing the skin a Brown Recluse bite can also be very painful and become extremely itchy.

Regular pesticide spray and maintenance inside your home and around the perimeter of your home is the best way to ensure that you do not have a pest problem at your house. If you are looking to save a few dollars and don’t mind getting a weaker version of pesticide then you can do it yourself with chemicals purchased in stores or online. If you feel that you have a significant problem with pest, or just want the problem to be taken care of quickly then call a professional near you to get the job done.

The best way to make your home free of spiders and other insects is through a regular maintenance spray of pesticide chemicals. You can either purchase diluted portions of chemical to spray yourself or you can hire a professional pest control provider.

ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS BUG IS?

My boyfriend was working on a roof one day and set his tools down in the eaves trough. All of a sudden he heard a very loud buzzing noise and something banging back and forth in the eavestrough. A huge, thick fly-like bug came out. My boyfriend was on the ladder still almost to the top rung when the bug darted in at his arm and bit a little chunk out of it. It then buzzed back and hovered, and then dove in again 2 more times at him hitting his shirt. He was practically running down the ladder, missing rungs and almost killing himself to get away from this bug. It attacked him. I have never heard of this, and I even called an exterminator to see if they heard of it; with no luck. It was dark colored and the wings seemed to go almost to tt’s butt. It was thick like a toonie or loonie. Some people call them “trough monsters”? If anyone knows anything about this bug, especially a link to show images would be greatly appreciated!
Thanx!
The bug is NOT a horsefly or a bee.

it almost sounds like cicada, but then agian maybe not…..but here is a pic of a cicada, for u
