Roach Problem?

I live in Orlando, Florida and at my current apartment the roaches are terrible. We’ve tried exterminators and sprays. I seriously doubt they could ever get rid of these damn things if a nuclear bomb exploded here right now. thank god, we are moving out of this godforsaken place in January, or sooner. I’m really worried the bugs will come with us. What can I do to make sure all the bugs are dead and removed before we move into our new place?

I used to live in Texas and the german roach population was unbelieveable. Before I moved to Maryland, I had to bag and spray everything. They love hiding in anything electrical, the TV the radios, toaster etc. Anything with a little tiny hole, they can get into. I bagged everything and sprayed Raid into all the bags. Cloths, computer, TV’s, microwaves…. everything. Whatever I was packing into boxes, was put into big plastic bags and sprayed. The inside of the box was sprayed. I left everything packed for a few weeks in storage till we moved. Believe it or not, even dump your purse before going into the new place. All it takes is one or two hidden somewhere and you will end up with an infestation that is impossible to get rid of.

Do not take any plants with you to the new place. They hide eggs in the soil.

Good luck. It was rather extreme but it worked for me. It is a pain to have to wash everything as you unpack it, but worth the effort in the end!
