The Bee Exterminator

how do you remove a bee hive that is in between the walls?

this bee hive has been in my daughters bedroom for like 3 years and keeps getting bigger and bigger every year. i’m a single low income mother and have no money to call an exterminator. Also we’ve been getting bitten by these bees because they come in to her bedroom.

Call your local bee keeper to see if they can move the hive and don’t try this yourself. You can “feel” the heat in the wall where the hive is. The keeper will determine where the entry point is and then use a smoke concoction to kill the bees if necessary. If there is any way to save the bees, do it. Without bees pollinating, we will be in big trouble and we’re headed that way anyway with the invasion of the killer bee population. Maybe he can figure out a way to move the hive to a bee hive. If you rent the house maybe the landlord will help out because this was not your fault and he has to keep up the property (well you can ask).

Local health officials may be able to help as well as veterinarians who have resources and contacts. Good luck

Rodents and Their Extermination

Every homemaker wants the house to be free from any outside invaders such as rodents, but despite the fact, and the best efforts of cleaning and organizing the house properly still rodents explore there way in our every day to day lives. These enter our house one way or the other, find their source of living and reside in our homes, and to add the worst they even set up their nest and start producing more. To ensure the safety of our homes and smooth running of our household we need to follow few steps for pest control. One can also consult with a professional for Pest Control. There are various methods one can follow for a healthy and pest free life. The few most popular methods are listed and explained below, these are as follows: – Trapping – Poison Pallets – Predators
- Repelling Devices Trapping It is considered to be the oldest and the simplest of all the methods, which can be best, used to get rid of rats and mice that have invaded any home. In this method simple TRAPS are used to catch the rats and the mice Traps are easily available in two forms: – The Wooden Trap: These are very easily available and inexpensive as compared to glue traps. In wooden traps one place some food en the moment rodent tries to catch up, the food trap is triggered and the mouse is trapped. – Glue Trap: These are too easily available but expensive as compared with the wooden traps. It is like a piece of fly paper that the mice can get stuck on. But one has to be very careful not to use the glue traps on to the area where children or pets at home can come in contact with. Poison Pellets (little balls or pills) This is also a very effective and popular method, which is used in household since ages. In this kind small packets of poison pellets are used, these pallets are scattered to the areas where rats and mice are usually prone to, and frequently travel. The rodents assume these pallets as food – they consume and are killed. But with this method one faces the problem of decaying of dead rodents. Though this method proves effective but one can face serious problems in household where small children and pets reside, as sometimes it may be difficult to locate the dead and decayed rodent. Predators The method of keeping predators is some times useful, but it is impractical as to the homemaker cannot be aware of how many rodents have been killed and if killed or not. Though the cats and dogs may prove helpful but this is not much advisable and practical method used these days. Repelling Devices They are new advanced inventions of modern times. These are the electrical devices, which make sound at a minimum frequency only to the rodent ear to make them irritate and exasperate to leave the environment. But these devices do have their own limitations, as these tend to loose the density of sound after a certain distance. Prevention As rightly said prevention is better than cure, every home maker should be very careful in not letting the rodent enter the home environment. Cleanliness is one of the most important factors which stops the entry of rodent to an environment .Few steps in our day to day life will save the home maker from these unwanted guests. – Clean houses leads to more effective trapping and bailing. – Rodent proof houses due to proper and good construction also leads to rodent proof environment. – If any openings and cracks in houses are well taken care of one can stop at the possibility of rodent entry.

He’s ballistic if a man is inthe yard working. He willrun down the st. to get to the lawn guy.?

This dog was badly abused for his first 11 months. That’s when
I rescued him from being put down. We have bonded & he has
been obedience trained except for the sit when someone comes to the door. I had a trainer here 3x. He upsets me
greatly when he seems to want to get out & get a piece of
the pool guy. He attacked the lawn guy. He nipped the
exterminator. I thought I could get a dog whisperer but have
not be able to.

blow off the ‘abused’ stuff – dogs don’t focus on that like people always do… Regardless of what you want to believe, he is NOT trained at all if he won’t even sit when someone comes to the door — trained is a dog that will obey when YOU want it to, not when HE happens to want to do it. Having some trainer come to your house is useless – you obviously haven’t learned anything and you need to — you need to find a GOOD motivational obedience class where you can learn to better interact with and train the dog. Just about everything you say is erroneous – you haven’t bonded well or he would obey you; he isn’t obedience trained or he would obey you. You continue to allow him to be in the situation to bite people and that is YOUR problem, not his — You say he will ‘run down the st.’ meaning you are letting him run loose… no television pseudo-trainer personality will help you… only YOU learning what you are doing and actually training the dog will.

Exterminator Bed Bugs Nyc

How much does an exterminator cost in nyc?

I live in brooklyn and my roomate and I just found out we have bed bugs. It’s not a huge problem yet (we’ve only seen one, but we have a few bites) but we want to stop the bugs before they get worse. We know we’re supposed to bag all laundry/fabrics in the house and wash them, but most things I’ve researched say that an exterminator is the only way to really get rid of the bugs.

Does anyone know how much this would cost us (small apartment: living room, bedroom, and small office/closet) in brooklyn/nyc area? Does anyone have any recommendations (of exterminators or an effective way to do it yourself?)

Thankyou!
I mean a rought estimate of what it might cost (doesn’t need to be an exact amount….).

Or, if anyone out there has hired exterminators for bedbugs, how much did it cost you?

Yes, no matter what action and preventative measures you take, it’s imperative to get an exterminator in there to finish the job. Also, you’re going to want to make sure you don’t just hire some random Joe off the street. Look for someone that is licensed, provides a guarantee, isn’t a huge money-hungry corporation and has many years experience.

I had the same problem a couple of months ago and it was such a hassle! When I started calling around… the estimates were ridiculous–some into the high thousands. I ultimately chose a company called Alliance Pest Mgmt in Staten Island. I dealt with a man by the name of Steven. The phone number is 718-606-2161 As far as I know, they service all 5 boroughs.

Also, if you’re renting, it’s your landlord’s responsibility to take care of that I believe.

What can I do about my slumlord? 10 pts?

I have lived with mice for 6 months, just woke up to find a mouse stuck to a sticky pad hubby put out. I have 3 young children and expecting my 4th in may. She brought an exterminator but it didnt work. I need help we cant afford to move or we would. We live in las vegas nv please im desperate. Oh and what do I do with the mouse on the sticky pad im scared of getting bit hubby doesnt get off work till 2:30 please help

Drop the mouse, glue trap, and all in a bucket of water. It will be over in seconds. Throw everything in the trash when you are done. Keep trapping and putting them down. Its the only way to ensure they are gone. Do not use de-con type poisons, because when they die they go somewhere you cant reach, then rot inside your walls making your house smell like a horse-rendering factory.

Keep your house clean and not cluttered. Vacuum daily. Do all dishes daily. Keep all food products in plastic containers– cereal, flour, everything. If you have a pet you are going to have to ration its food, like put it out for an hour or two at a time then put it away.

If you do all this you will eventually get rid of the mice. The most important thing is to keep trapping and putting them down.
